Fixing Uarenas

lichess.org/tournament/l5ufgARB

Can someone on the staff identify and fix this bug that allows players to do this.

I have mentioned this bug to several mods and the only progress I have seen was the removing beserk button. I am trying to spread awareness in the community so that fixing the Uarenas becomes a bit higher of a priority.

Note, I would like to mention that I did file a report that the winner of this tournament would do this prior to them actually doing it. So if we could keep the discussion to solutions to the problem that don't require the mods to ban people faster.
Just report them for abusing the system. They most likely met the requirements when they joined the tournament.
@DoTheMath I mean yes I guess technically they did meet the requirements when they joined the tournament.

The problem is currently the requirements do NOT prevent players rated over 1500 from joining U1500 tournaments. That's what I'm trying to change.

Your solution is to report them, that's like telling a school shooter victim/protester to go vote if they want to change the law.
I don't want to talk about that player specifically, but the requirements seem good enough:
≥ 20 Bullet rated games
Rated ≤ 1500 in Bullet

Realistically it's highly unlikely that a player whose strength is significantly above the threshold will be able to join. Unless they're abusing the system, of course.

Let me know if I misunderstood the issue.
A software bug is an error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.

The intended result is for players to only be able to join if their rated U1500 yet here we have a 1900 in the arena. So by definition this is a bug.

Highly unlikely this error will occur is exactly what the engineers said about the O-rings on Challenger.
#3 "The problem is currently the requirements do NOT prevent players rated over 1500 from joining U1500 tournaments."

In terms of what Lichess knows about the player, that is incorrect. A GM could join an Uxxxx event as long as their Lichess rating in the last week never met or exceeded the threshold.
#4 That's not completely true Lichess displays your rating in real time which means somewhere on site it knows what your rating is. The problem is it doesn't save the updated rating except for once every hour.

A GM could join the Uxxxx tournament if at the moment Lichess saved his rating he was Uxxxx. Then as soon as his rating is saved he can spend the next 50mins winning every single game, before quickly losing a bunch of games to drop his rating again before the next save.

This policy is encouraging players who are over the threshold to create new accounts and just use them to play in these arenas.
As far as I can tell, this person (who, by the way, is now flagged) was already almost 1900 upon entering the tournament. They did not meet the requirements.
@Toadofsky In the first game played by this guy in the tournament he already was 1892: lichess.org/VybXyNDS I guess the alleged bug is the following: you can join a tournament in a couple of days before it starts when your rating is small and you meet the requirements, and then you boost your rating, but the system doesn't kick you from the tournament at the moment of its start. This doesn't seem to be a serious bug to me though - if a player can boost a really big score in a matter of days, he's probably a sandbagger anyway.
Take into account all time high rating somehow. For example if a player reached an established rating of 2000 ever, then it would be not legitimate for this player to join an U1800 tourney from then on.

I think a double requirement on last week rating and ( all time high rating - 200 points ) to be under the limit would make abuse quite difficult.
