Is Chess a painkiller?

Personally, chess has always aggravated my pain , especially emotionally. It's just frustration really.

For me , the "science" that chess is a pain-killer is just absurd and ridiculous.
For me chess is a spirce of mental pain after suffering a loss to a 800
And what're we gonna do about these wienies who seem to think that Judas Priest is legit? "Whoa, they're playing 'Living After Midnight' again...I better hold on to my hat!" The lamest song by Aerosmith or Montrose is better than all of JP's Greatest Hits combined.

I'd like to see a link.Chess may distract you from your pain but I'd like to know if there is an actual endorphin release.
i mean if you're in pain it can distract you from pain like lots of other distractions so in one sense, it is a painkiller, but it doesn't actually affect your body in any way like most pill-form painkillers.

wdym? I did not get you xD
Playing chess can be painkiller only if you are better player than your opponent and you play really great until they resign or you win at the beginning. Until you are a casual player in chess and try to play chess as painkiller then youll get more pain not fun bcz people here are waayy to good at chess.
