New players should have a trial period of inidvidual games (no major tournament entrry allowed)

I really doubt even the 50 game requirement will be a huge roadblock for newcomers. Whereas the benefits could be that a major tournament with 200+ players isn't ruined for 200+ players, I see real value in this.
I agree the thousands that aren't cheaters should be protected from potential cheaters - read your own logic here. Also then consider it is the number of established members each year that grows and to me the current policy of zero protection on important tournaments becomes dumber and dumber as time passes.
KC... its the same as this story with Dr. Zaitsev. The tournament you posted wasn´t infiltrated by TheBulletBoss. As you see he lost 3 games and is still not detected as a cheater.

Not everybody is a cheater who is new at this site and wins nearly all games or beats you constantly.

Iam a big fan of you KC and as i am this so i will be honest to you and say what i think.

I think you are a little bit annoyed about people who play much better than you and have no titles or anything.

please stay more calm and let people play in their success :).

and if there´s anyone cheating, he will be detected.

never the less your idea to increase the minimum of games till being able to play tournaments is a good idea, definetly.

Cheers KC :)
@ TheIceManV: Yes that's of-course an option but, firstly each time a cheater wants to do this they need to invest more time and secondly, if they fail the trial games then their rating should be quite low and thus it will be much easier to catch those guys quickly if they're 1600 and constantly beating 2400s with ease
How long does it take to play 50 games ?.........50 games even 500 games we all know doesnt take very long to play,i think its a good insurance policy.
Martin-Kessler - he also victimised the early daily bullet tournament. So that's two major site tournaments damaged in a row.
Btw I checked the avg centipawn loss of the bullet games - it is not losing that concerns me by itself for me to shout 'fowl play' but rather the accuracy levels demonstrated even when he berserked me in the bullet.
I do like the idea of being able to set requirements for tournament entry. For example, the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly arenas might require 20 games played, while hourly arenas are open entry.
For user created tournaments, an option for games required as opposed to total open entry might be a good idea.
However, in general, I try to avoid getting paranoid about possible cheaters, and would likely not use the feature myself.
#24 You are right. But i do think there are more loopholes that would have to be resolved if this is implemented.
The importance levels of tournaments could define their defensive shields. Also the trial period can reveal major accuracy mismatches to make later expulsion quicker if a cheater didn't cheat during the trial period. So - win-win scenario for boosting the eviction system. More hassle for cheaters could deter them more and more as the system gets fine tuned to increasingly protect the more important tournaments.
