Swiss tournaments are on Lichess

I think one feature of Swiss that should be implemented here is that people can't join after the first round has already started.

Also, today I created a tourney for my team. We had 7 players and it was scheduled to be 4 rounds but after 3 rounds it said that no pairings are possible and it ended. I know that in OTB if there aren't players with equal score as me whom I haven't played before, I get paired with someone else who is nearest to me in score. This feature needs to be included.
Huge thumbs up from me and Leeds Junior Chess Club - thanks.
I have done a test tournament in Bangladesh biggest Community of lichess...
Players : 75
Round : 9
Problems seem to me :
1) In first round two top rated players were in a game which was not expected in Swiss
2)Some players getting one full point from bye but it shows half point of that particular game
thank you so much @thibault and we want in team battle too
2) is just a graphical glitch, will fix soon
1) can you show me where it says that it shouldn't happen?
@thibault
I may have a solution for drop outs. In the software Swisschess, which I use for our club tournaments, there is the possibility to make players who do not participate in the tournament for the time being inactive. Either for the whole tournament or for the time they don't participate in the tournament. During this time, when players are inactive, there will be no draw for these players for the rounds. Only when they participate again in the tournament, they are made active again. These players will then be drawn in the remaining rounds. In Swisschess, the tournament director has to do this manually. Maybe there is the possibility to insert this automatically in Lichess. Just a suggestion!

Sorry for the 1st one if i am wrong @thibault but i knew the pairing should be top half vs bottom half actually.....

Is it Possible to add tournament details after the tournament like arena system ?? @thibault
like how many games were actually played, average ratings etc
@thibault #195 "1) can you show me where it says that it shouldn't happen?"

according to lichess.org/swiss you are using the dutch system. Here is an exerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss-system_tournament#Dutch_system:

"The players are divided into groups, based on their score. Within each group with the same score, players are ranked, based on rating or some other criteria. Subject to the other pairing rules, the top half is then paired with the bottom half. For instance, if there are eight players in a score group, number 1 is paired with number 5, number 2 is paired with number 6 and so on. Modifications are then made to prevent competitors from meeting each other twice, and to balance colors (in chess).[5] Players are sorted by score groups, ranked and top half paired to bottom half. It is suggested[by whom?] that for smaller fields score groups are not a suitable approach."

Here the third sentence is important: "Subject to the other pairing rules, the top half is then paired with the bottom half." This applies in particular to the draw for the first round. The top rated pairings should only take place at the end of a tournament.
And should be avoided for the first rounds! This is especially true for the first round! Therefore, it is not foreseen in the swiss system that a top rated pairing occurs in the first round. And for the first round this can also be avoided very well.
