Problem with Sounds in iOS

Issue: For a week or so, when I play a game, the sounds are either gone completely or barely audible, even when I have the volume maxed. Silent mode is off and audio and ringtones are functioning normally in all other applications. Sound is enabled in app settings and I've tried toggling it on/off.

Lichess app: v6.30 (the latest)

iOS: 13.1.3

I’m using an iPad with iOS 13.1.3 also, and the way to get sound is once someone makes a move, press somewhere in the background of the screen (still in lichess) and then for the rest of the moves there will be sounds.

Same problem here. I hit the left arrow key (back a move) and right arrow key (move forward), and that fixes the problem.
