Hello I was playing atomic and got a checkmate with my queen but it didn’t show checkmate

I was playing atomic and I did a queen checkmate but the time still went on and didn’t say checkmate and my opponent could not move. My opponent realized it was a bug and he resigned

It isn't a checkmate,because your opponent can take a pawn with the knight and blow up your king.

He could play Nxf2# or Nxd2# and explode your king! It was not a bug!

Traditional checkmate applies to atomic as well, but *any move that results in blowing up the opposite king will result in an immediate victory, overriding all checks and checkmates.*
