I agree with you, although a lot of people might not use the blog posts appropriately causing spam and unnecessary comments.
I think maybe at the bottom of a blog (all blogs) there should be a link to a sub forum talking about the Blog.
I'm also fine with adding a comment section directly below the blog if people use and respond appropriately and don't give unnecessary information.
