Why zero points for 2500+ puzzle?

Recently I got zero points for correctly solving puzzle which turned out to be 2500+ rated. Specifically the puzzle lichess.org/training/L2Xt7. Because I do hardest difficulty level, I do puzzles by oldschool method over the chessboard and it usually takes me plenty of time. And that's probably the problem. I guess there's actually a time limit and after expiration there are no points for solving. It doesn't bother me too much, I enjoyed the puzzle anyway, but is there anyone who experienced the same thing? And what is the time limit?
Btw is using a classical chessboard considered to be fair or cheating? :-)
I remember the same thing happening to me when I was rated 2800+ in puzzles. It all just comes down to the rating calculation, and few points are gained if there's a big difference in ratings. As far as I know time isn't a factor when it comes to calculating points, at least not on Lichess. If I'm wrong on this one you may correct me.

Classical chessboards in puzzles? No worries, you're the only one benefitting from it, there's no competetive aspect of it. Go for it! :) When it comes to actual games however, I recall a mod saying that a classical chessboard was seen as a tool to help improve the quality of your moves (just like chess engines are tools), and thus it is not allowed.
Thanks for the answer @Shiaxou. What you suggest seems unlikely to me, since I got 4 points for 2200+ puzzle not so long ago. I just did it quickly.
Yes. When rated 2800+, solving puzzles rated 2500 doesn't add many points.
Solving 3100 rated puzzles may give rise to rating points of 10 to 20+ or above.

The rating range and the number of puzzles solved
successfully add everything to the count.

If puzzles are solved incorrectly, the rating boost starts
getting slowing down significantly. The formula is the same
for the rating change for the games played.

Solve for accuracy.
Solve for improving chess.
Then rating boosts on its own.
I think I already know how it works. It has nothing to do with rating of the puzzle and my rating.
When I keep the puzzle on the screen while solving it on the chessboard, then I get points (today I got insane 34 points for 2600+ puzzle).
BUT when I note the address of the puzzle (e.g. TdH3X), then leave the screen with the puzzle to do something else (like playing the tournament), and then return to the same puzzle, I get zero points after correct solution. Moreover number of solved puzzles in my profile doesn't increment.
Is it a bug or intention? Just curious :-)
It could be that after a certain time interval, the puzzle is no longer linked to your puzzle rating. If you go into dashboard and have a go at a puzzle you failed at in the past, solving it correctly no longer alters your puzzle rating. Also, I have noticed that if I log out and then come back, sometimes I return to the same unsolved puzzle and sometimes it is a new one, this may be time related too. I have been known to print a copy of a particularly taxing one, and if I take too long, the puzzle has changed when I return.
