New players should have a trial period of inidvidual games (no major tournament entrry allowed)

to mootmoot3rd:

Are you serious?
500 games for player that play no blitz and bullet will take a very long time to reach 500 games.

For 10-minute-games it would take about 16 hours of play. So it would take at least a week to be albe to play in tournament. That's nonsense.

As I already wrote it need to be just a very few games to be analysed.
ok KC that Game is really suspicious:

maybe you are right, but what i want to say is, please dont get angry about that people, you did it so much at Dr. Zaitsev and this is not you niveau because i think you are an excellent player and a intelligent and nice person.
In the case of Dr zaitsev I asked if he could be investigated during the marathon stream because of the ridiculous of his openings. The guy then proceeds to create ridiculous post Mortem commentaries and now even his entire twitch account is not there anymore. In the game analysis forum it was claimed I said he cheated - I am not entirely sure this was true during the marathon event. Yes I feel I can smell engine abusers but I like to check with the accuracy reports as well before saying someone for sure is cheating. I don't enjoy making false assumptions.
At Dolg : Why is a few days play nonsense ? For the people who have no desire to cheat they would accept playing a few day for free to attain the required quota, and should they not accept it in my opinion they are not serious about the game.
Btw yesterday's daily bullet was also victimised - the winner expelled now with the engine indicator. Do we really need the daily tournaments being victimised on a near daily basis ?
Certainly not. And you are correct in raising the issue. You will find you will have more support than against on the implementation of some form of quota guidelines installed on the site .
IIRC there is a giant message with an enormous red exclamation point saying to not point out potential cheaters in the forums. This definitely is not the first time you've violated this rule kc.

Aside from that, if someone wants to cheat they'll cheat. What's to stop them from playing 50 games without an engine and start it up in the tournament? The only way to make this harder is to up the amount of required games, but raising the required games only serves to hurt the vast majority of new players that AREN'T engines. Even though lichess is growing rapidly, the site's ideals are fundamentally against limiting anyone's ability access any of the features available.
I really think you are missing the entire point of the discussion pal.
#38 i agree with you, i don't like this idea at all, but, i think it would be smarter to have a sort of 3 day grace period where they are not allowed to play in tourneys, also if they wait three days and then cheat theyll be caught and seriously have no life
