It may make more sense that when you right click a piece in board editor, the piece gets removed(like if you had clicked it with the trash can).
I am not sure if users wanting to make colored circles in board editor mode makes sense.
The right click could be to remove the piece you are hovering over, and the left click could be to pick the piece up.
