There's the abort button and there's plenty of time before a match to hover on their name or tap it to see if they are from Russia. You can do the same for the names that sound Russian.

You will receive a temporary playban if you abort too many games.
If you don't queue for a game you 100% won't play any Russian players

“I think the best solution would be to simply remove the ability to specify nationality from the profile section in the system. Why should nationality matter? We just want to play chess here. No more flags in profile.”
