Learning lichess.org

I came here to ask one question, but after seeing the "!IMPORTANT: Your question may already have an answer in the F.A.Q." banner up top, I now have two questions.

1. There are a lot of resources on lichess.org for learning *chess* but I could not find any resources for learning lichess.org. For example: what certain parts of the user-interface are for, how lifetime score calculations work, what engines are used how/where, how to navigate the User Preferences and which preferences there do what exactly (currently trial-and-error experimentation is the only good way to know for sure).

2. I searched high and low for some "Help" or "FAQ" section on lichess.org and could not find any. Only when I had given up completely and decided to post a forum post did I find a link in the banner up top. Is there any other way to find the FAQ? Did I miss a navigation menu somewhere?
@2. The FAQ is linked on the homepage, lichess.org/ , I think the location could move a bit depending on your screen size, but for me it's under Lichess TV. There are a few other links there too
I have seen the request to make a document of how to navigate on lichess already in past and I agree. Obviously you can find things out yourself with time, some people prefer that.

"what certain parts of the user-interface are for"

Ask what you don't understand and people will help you.

"how lifetime score calculations work"

I don't know what you mean by "lifetime". If you mean how ratings are calculated take a look here: lichess.org/faq#ratings and here: lichess.org/page/rating-systems.

"what engines are used how/where"

Lichess uses Stockfish 13 NNUE engine. You can activate that in the analysis board after a game is completed. There's a limit of 30 per day and 150 per week per user (for the computer request; local analysis are unlimited as far as I know).

"how to navigate the User Preferences and which preferences there do what exactly"

You can find preferences here: lichess.org/account/preferences/game-display. There's not much to explain, you can see yourself and if you don't understand something you can ask.

The faq, as well as other useful pages, can be found in the homepage on the left below the top rated tv game, which is below your timeline.
What do you mean by learning lichess? It's a UI like every other: you click on links and see what happens. What "Play" or "Community" means should be obvious.
And we should mention that it is a MARVELOUS user interface. Very easy, clean, compact. Nicely done.
The FAQ is under the TV at the homepage!
I am an old user of Lichess, but I must confess: Whenever I need FAQ, I forgot where it is. Right now, I don't find it either. What do you mean, "under Lichess TV", @Feuer1? Under Lichess TV there is "Current games" ...
Well, but sometimes I find it by accident. And I am very pleased with the UI and I think it is possible to understand easily.
