Please make the new chessboard size correctly.

Lichess old chessboard was square.

But Lichess new chessboard is not square, it is made of 64 rectangles like 43px * 42px, 42px * 43px etc.
i think the new chessboard annoying too. when y move the right rook on bullet games y grab the board and change the zize and then during the game and i cannot put it to normal size so i lose (even though i put the option to resize only in the beginning. Another thing is that in my navegator (chrome) the max size of the board is to small i was used to play fullscreen with the board on all over the screen, now i cannot to that. another bug i found is that in the begining of every game the colors are set to default and then it get fixed. anyways i like the new version thank you for all the work
IMHO, there is plenty of space to the right of the board, for the move list. My move list (which is not "in line") consists of just two columns -- one for each color of piece moved -- and those two columns have lots of empty space between them. More than enough. . . . Wherefore I advocate narrowing that whole textbox slightly, and widening the left-hand margin till it's the same width as the right-hand one -- and the board is thus exactly centered on the screen.

A perfectly centered board. (Why not?)

I also recommend the board zoom be set as close as possible to 100%, by default. Of course, people should be able to shrink their boards, _if they wish to_ (for whatever unfathomable reason); but they should start out fullscreen, rather than starting out smaller than that by an arbitrary amount. (Emphasis on _arbitrary_ -- because, really!) After all, what's the point of having an auto-scaling website, if the board doesn't automatically fill your screen? Isn't the board the most important thing on here? Isn't everything else really just information about, or options pertaining to, the display of that board? And, on a typical 16x9 screen (which includes even most cellphones, these days), isn't there plenty of screen real estate to either side of the board for any & all information pertaining thereto?

Selah, O my brethren. Selah.

Just my two cents. :) And these would have been issues on the previous version of this site, too. I personally think the new site is otherwise great! Honestly, this website is absolutely brilliant; I'm not complaining; I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask for a full-height, perfectly centered board. And this seemed like an appropriate place to ask for it. I meant no offense! I swear. . . .

Thank you, very much, for all the hard work you've done, Thibault, et al. :) It is very, _very_ much appreciated. <3 <3 And again, none of the above is intended as a criticism, per se; only humble observations / suggestions.

Cheers!
@Royal-Spork "IMHO, there is plenty of space to the right of the board, for the move list"
Not on my phone there isn't! You do realise that the whole point of Lichess 2 was to cope with all screen sizes from mobile to large TVs?
I had to downsize to 67% to get a decent chessboard. Now the chessboards ok ,only I can't read the writings anymore ...
@Doofenshmirtz Is your phone in landscape orientation, or portrait? It kind of matters, to be relevant in this context. ;)

Also, while I did mention that even many phones have a 16x9 screen, my comment was referring to the latest browser version of lichess, and not to the Android app, which is different. So that matters, too; and I therefore humbly submit that your comment is off topic. All due respect!
@Royal-Spork You didn't specify app or site, portrait or landscape. I was talking about the site, in portrait, for what it's worth. If you're going to say "there's plenty of room" you should probably be a little more specific if you want people to know what you're talking about. The default sizes seem fine to me and there are several ways to change it if you desire.
@capperuccio Sounds like you've used the browser scaling, which resizes everything. You can use the geometry setting to change the board size or drag from the bottom right of the board to just change the board size.
@Doofenshmirtz The amount of space to either side of the board, and the height of the board, itself, are two separate issues. I believe I made that clear. As for specifying the browser, as opposed to the app: that is implied by the subject of this thread, which concerns the new lichess website. (The Android app hasn't been updated since last year. . . .) So I don't think I misspoke at all, but I'm sorry you were confused in any case. :)
