Right sector - Ukraine government-backed movement

Right Sector (Ukrainian: Пра́вий се́ктор, Pravyi sektor) is a far-right, Ukrainian nationalist organization.

Right Sector's political ideology has been described as hardline right-wing nationalist, neo-fascist, or neo-Nazi, political party and paramilitary movement, and part of the European radical right. Right Sector was the second-most mentioned political group in Russian media during the first half of 2014, and Russian state TV depicted it as neo-Nazi because of its far-right, extremist views, and anti-Russian sentiment.

According to the UN Human Rights Council, Right Sector is one of "potentially violent militias that acted seemingly on their own authority, thanks to a high level of official toleration, and with almost complete impunity, both in the Donbass region and in wider Ukraine" that "use violence or threats of violence to exert pressure on persons holding dissenting views, the judicial system and other mechanisms of accountability".

I had never heard of them, until now. Looking at the source you quoted (Wiki), it appears that Right Sector is just a fringe group which is really a loose collection of various other groups. An umbrella organisation with little to no political power:

"In the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election, Right Sector took part on a united radical right nationwide-party list with the Governmental Initiative of Yarosh, National Corps, and Svoboda,[38] winning no seats.[39]"

The Kremlin propaganda machine talked a lot about this group, because it suited their false narrative of a 'facist Ukraine', when the reality is something very different, according to the source you cherry-picked your quote from.

Poor effort, tatarmalae.
@tatarmalae Lol - in the last election the combined union of all the right wing parties won 2% ... big deal

There's way more 'nazi's' in the US... how would you like it if we got invaded and were getting slaughtered but the rest of the world sat back and was linking wikipedia pages of the KKK as a reason not to help.

I can provide ground photo from Mariupol, but it is stricly forbidden here. Such photos are too disturbing. They will interfere with drinking coffee with croissants.
@MaugliUA #9 Made with photoshop. Send your media, do not fool the whole world!
