Lichess has a bad server

I'm sure there are other threads along similar lines out there, but I'd just like to say my two cents. The Lichess server is absolutely terrible, I can't play a decent game here without losing almost half my time in lag (and I have a pretty good connection on all other sites). This also means that with Lichess' bizarre system of 0.0 second premoves there is literally no one in the world I can flag anymore, which makes playing a little depressing... I'm generally quite a strong player and was hoping that this site would give me another playing option, but it's unfortunately just completely unplayable.

I wager that you don't play correspondence chess.

Can't say I do! I like my fun 1 and 3 minute chess online. Though I did see someone seeking for 3 day correspondence atomic chess today and though that was really quite strange...

lichess server is great! Check out your geographical lag, though: lichess.org/lag

I did check that site, it is bizarre because it gives a consistent reading above 500ms with sudden spikes much higher, whereas when I use pingtest I can't find any server in the world which produces a result that high or spikes at all (although I live a bit of a distance from Europe I have quite a good connection where I live and it rarely/almost never spikes).

I think that something was obtained that either your opponent or you're just a bad player.
If you give your name to check you in Fide.Bo when I play with players of equal internet that did not laguje.If have problems with lag play correspondence chess.

Hey WB, let me share a simple idea to improve Lichess servers (which in my opinion do not have to be improved) : why don't you donate just a few bucks, so that Thibault and the Lichess team could rent better servers ? Don't you think it's the better way to support a completely FREE service ? I think so.

deleting your browser cookies sometime will help.I use ccleaner(free software) for that and lichess server is great from my experience.they can take any kind of challenge.:P

The server HAD issues some months back for a few days, other than that i don't recall any major lag caused by the server.
But i'm not a bullet player so maybe the 10 milliseconds of server delay are too much for your highness
