I think it would be beneficial to avoid mouse slips in longer games. I think it would use too much time for blitz and bullet however.

yeah but it's annoying to have to switch it all the time. it's a decent feature I'd think. or at least just Rapid with increment
Once I was playing in an RK tournament that was 0+1 and I accidentally turned on move confirmation 🙈
I never ever played 0+1 again.
You can use move confirmation in rapid and even in blitz.
Compare it to berserk.
With berserk you give up half your time for an arena point.
With move confirmation you give up less than half of your time to avoid blunders and keep your win streak.
