Argentina v. France was the best WC final I have ever seen. I have been watching since 1966. It may very well be the best soccer game I have ever seen.
Some interesting points: Ronaldo, Levandowski, and Messi may all have ended their WC careers, although Messi may be undecided now; Mbappe has cemented his claim as the most dangerous forward in the world; Morocco and Japan, if their teams are young enough, appear to be moving into the elite levels WC competition; USA has improved immensely since the 2018 Cup but still need a power forward; adding 16 teams to the 2026 tournament is a risky change. I just don't think there is enough top tier talent to go around but it will probably make FIFA even richer.
