TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
I. ELIGIBILITY
a. This is open to all players, in good standing with Noypi Chess Association Inc. and the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
b. Your Lichess account must be your real FULL NAME, but if you cannot edit it, just put your name in your Lichess profile.
II. TOURNAMENT SYSTEM / FORMAT
a. The tournament format shall be straight Eleven (11) Rounds (Individual Swiss System with Team Result).
b. Each team shall be composed of FOUR (4) players whose average is 2000 and below.
Rating to be used: WHICHEVER IS HIGHER.
1. NCFP RAPID rating only as of March 1, 2020.
2. FIDE RAPID rating as of May 2020.
c. THE FINAL TEAM STANDINGS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE SUM OF THE THREE (3) MEMBERS OF A TEAM.
d. Unrated players and those with ratings of below 1800 shall be given a provisional rating of 1800 for computation of average rating.
e. A team is allowed to include only one (1) titled player.
NOTE: PAIRING WILL BE COPIED AT SWISS MANAGER PAIRING PROGRAM AND IN CASE OF UNEXPECTED CRASH OF LICHESS SWISS TOURNAMENT PROGRAM, WE WILL MAKE OUR PAIRING AND WE WILL UPLOAD IT AT CHESS-RESULTS.COM AND IN OUR CHAT FORUM.
III. COMPETITION RULES
a. The Lichess Terms of Service shall govern the tournament.
b. Lichess reserve the right to ban or close an account for any reason without warning, and without having to provide evidence that Fair Play and Community Guidelines have been breached.
c. IF YOU VIOLATE THE FAIR AND COMMUNITY GUIDELINES YOU WILL BE BANNED IN JOINING THE NOYPI CHESS ASSOCIATION INC. TOURNAMENT AND YOUR CASH PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED.
d. The rate of play shall be Two (2) MINUTES with 2 SECONDS increments (Fisher Mode) for each player to make all the moves necessary to finish the game.
e. The prize will be given after Two days (for Lichess cheating detection).
f. Prizes will be sent in Gcash only if you don’t have a GCASH account open an account now, here is the link: gcsh.app/r/vikpkcP
IV. TEAM TIE-BREAKS
For team tie-break purposes,
1. The highest-ranking of the team member after the final round.
2. Total of Median Buchholz of the 3 players.
3. Total Sonneborn- Berger (SB) of the 3 players.
