Lichess Draws after repeated checks!

This is not the first time ive had the upper hand in a game and whem opponent sees this this perpetually check until tge system ends even though i had better pieces and better setup! The game draws i lose -1 yet the are the ones who did it.Very frustrating lichess there needs to be a penalty for doing the same checks more than 4 or more times!Very disappointed please improve tge system. It spoils the flow or the game and shows lack of creativity and laziness.Anyone else experienced this? When you clearly are wining and people

put an annoying repeated check so it auto draws.
You seem to be describing a draw by threefold repetition. This is an established rule in chess, and allows the losing player some hope of a draw if they are clever. I agree that it can be frustrating if you have the upper hand! I've been there.

Nevertheless, it is a rule of the game, and Lichess is correct in accounting for it.
If you want to look it up, it's Article 9.2.1 of the FIDE Laws of Chess (handbook.fide.com/chapter/E012018):
"The game is drawn, upon a correct claim by a player having the move, when the same position for at least the third time (not necessarily by a repetition of moves)"

If you don't like this rule, you could consider switching to Xiangqi (Chinese Chess), where perpetual checks or even perpetual attacks of opponent's pieces are not allowed ;-)
How well do you know the rules of chess in the first place?? You never heard about perpetual check?
Do you also know the 50 move rule?
Thanks at @KeithDenning it doesnt make sense and should be changed thats my point. And yes very frustrating.I suppose i cpuld do the same while my losing lol.
@kleineme I like chess man.It doesnt happen so often to make me quit but lichess is a program(app) so they can program it so annoyingly being checked doesnt auto draw....
@Cedur216 knowing the rule and it being a hindrance are two different things.Ill just do the same if i see im losing kill the fun for everyone too if thats what your point is.
@Cedur216 Please, always be as nice as possible. People asking here in order to understand something are very welcome. We all will enjoy this forum more if we try to be patient and helpful. :)
@ThinkingManTom "Ill just do the same if i see im losing" Yes! You should do exactly this! If you find a way to force perpetual check in an otherwise losing position, you should absolutely take it and get a draw. Others have done this to me and I said "well done," particularly when the technique to force it wasn't obvious, and I've done it to others and they said the same. It's part of the game of chess. Not an oversight or an annoying technicality. Looking for drawing opportunities is exactly what anyone in an inferior position ought to do.
The entire point of a perpetual check rule is to prevent the game going on for eternity. It would be unfair for one player to lose on time for example in a position where there are no prospects for either player to make progress due to the perpetual check. Also nobody wants to see a 2000 move game where 1900 of the moves were a queen moving to the same 3 squares.

Eventually you just learn that it's part of the game and try to minimize perpetual chances in games if better and look for chances if worse.
ok guys I'm sorry but #1 was whining a bit too much in my eyes; I'm not an unconditionally nice guy

Perpetual check traps and stalemate traps are an inherent part of the game. They're often dubbed swindles but that still makes them 100% legit.
