IAF general elections 2023

Hello. I have been playing antichess for..... holy crap, almost 5 years. I think I'm an AIM at this point.... I might need one more AIM tournament, maybe, but I'm close. I've met some great friends and learned a lot and had lots of great times, and perhaps lots more very frustrating times, and that's ok. One thing I learned is that chess can be funny! I was surprised at how hard I laugh when someone plays an unexpected unique move that trolls the opponent and puts them in an undignified position, and forces them to lose. And it's even more funny when I realize that no one would even understand why I'm laughing, if they don't know antichess. Anyway, it would be nice to run for a position on the committee, but the only problem is, I don't really want to. So I'm not going to. Vote for me if you want a bad representative who won't do stuff.

This post is a light troll. Hopefully it caued a chuckle or two. If not, I apologize for any inconvenience and your understanding is appreciated. I was surprised at how many good cases people are making.

Hello everyone! It's Preslav here. I would like to run for the steering committee because my main purpose is to contribute with whatever I can and whatever is necessary within the community. Already being twice the OTB Champion in Amsterdam, I feel I should provide something to all of you and make your time even better while you all enjoy the beauty of the game :). I can also popularise and teach Antichess - especially in my country, if I am more persistent and have the time. I also have some great ideas about organising tournaments both online and live but, of course, I will need your kind help, so I am open to suggestions :). At some point, I am even planning on becoming a sponsor of our tournaments we currently have, so we can see even more players join and have a wonderful time together while playing our precious variant of chess :). I am always ready to help anyone! I respond to private messages as soon as I become online and see them, so don't hesitate to get in touch with me - I will never ignore you!

I voted for our president @bwmtone who is the ideal man to be president in the next 5 years
I also voted for all who applied for the steering committee except for one
I want to inform you that @soccertan26 did not apply for the steering committee but we want her here with the others
It does a great job updating all players titles
Regarding the leader of the Steering Committee, I propose @CRO-C0P

Maybe a separate voting thread might make more sense. Now everyone is liking everyone and it looks unclear.
Otoh, if all seem to agree, let's go right ahead!

I believe that @bwmtone is the right person to be the President because he has done a lot for all of us recently and he deserves the chance to even expand his benefit.
I voted for all people who desired to apply for the steering committee. However, I think that @ChangeOpening shines out as the most appropriate person to be the steering committee leader because he already has much experience with this type of activity. I will not numerate all the things he has done for this wonderful community - whoever has been around for some time, should perfectly know what Flo has done for us!

Hey Guys

I think @ChangeOpening is the most eligible candidate for being the leader of Steering committee and help our upcoming president @bwmtone. Kex is my next choice but he himself said his time is very limited so it may become hectic to him. If Flo is tired of all this stuff and seeking some relaxation, I propose @Sridhar75 and @FiendfyreFrenzy jointly for the leadership based on their maturity and their capability of leading a team.
