Lost points on an abandoned game today

Lichess went down earlier today. I was in the middle of a game, and ended up, and lost 9 points.

Can Lichess please give me those points back? here's a link to the game, from earlier today: lichess.org/xEVUHTcuktLM

This is unfair. Lichess should do something to prevent players from losing points due to a Lichess problem.
So your solution is to give more points to people who had already recovered to their natural level and thus inflate their rating?
When the things go horribly wrong, the Internet gods demand a sacrifice. The service is provided as-is.
If you have a solution that wouldn't create an inflation and would work at Lichess's scale, I'm looking forward to your pull request.
It's simple,... more or less.
It would be enough to write a few lines of code in which if there was a server down problem on the part of Lichess, the games are reset, no more points and no less points.

Do I simplify?

If the server goes down (and a general server issue is found and confirmed) then matches will not return points, otherwise points will be calculated based on whether the playing players win or lose.

Then my job is communication and commerce, let's say I'm good with logic.

I leave the arduous decision to the professionals.

Awesome that you are volunteering to fix this. Looking forward to your contribution.

Lichess is Open-Source so you can copy the code and add this. If not don't cry out.

As i said, my job is something different.
As I said and repeat, I leave my idea to the programmers, in the hope of having been useful, as a good synergy requires.

No regrets, and no tears, just ideas.
In Italy we say: "Better to have an idea than a million euros, than a million euros without an idea"

Good, wrong? posterity will judge.

Time is a gentleman
