Are Lichess's "Reactions" Helpful?

Between Q2 and Q3 of 2020, Lichess released several emoji reactions as add-ons in the forums. These expressions have been a nice way of varying communication; however, people may argue that "thumbsdown," "horsey," and even "thinking" can be offensive or hurtful to others.

Do you think that Lichess's Reactions are more helpful than unhelpful? Does the good outweigh the bad? What is your opinion?
@CalKK10 how is a downvote harmful :D

Its their issue lol. Also I would never take things personally.
The reactions are needed to express your agreement or disagreement with statements. When someone finds that offensive or hurtful, he has to learn that in reality you are facing people with spectrum of views on various topics.

A thumbs up or down is more helpful than another post saying "I agree" or "I disagree", it is like shorthand.
Thumbs-downs may well be offensive or hurtful to other schizos...but I think most people can deal with them evenly enough.
