Why game's dates ALWAYS change to the current after downloading chapters/studies?

Why game's dates *always* change to the current after downloading chapters/studies from my own Lichess Studies?!

I don't know how to fix this problem in other way than manually changing game dates to correct ones after the download.
...But this method isn't entirely satisfying - also because it has to be explained to all other people (my students, first of all) who use the same studies, etc. :(

Will be very grateful for any sensible hints!
I just downloaded a game (chapter) from my study - the date was correctly as in the study. I then downloaded the whole study with several games, and every game had the correct date.

My guess is that the date has not been correctly set in the date field of the games (chapters).

I think you need to do it the PGN way: YYYY.MM.DD

For example: 2023.05.25

Otherwise an example would be helpful to see what's wrong. That would preferably include a (public) study and the wrong pgn, and the result you expeccted.

Thank you. That's puzzling... My PGNs are generated by/in ChessBase and I don't think that anything can be wrong with them.
I am confused... I thought you were downloading your studies from Lichess and not ChessBase?

For example, I just created a public study lichess.org/study/ukIWOYxh
And when I download all games of this study as PGN, in the resulting PGN dates of all games changed to today. Very silly.

I cannot understand, already for a long time, what's wrong (in settings or elsewhere) but something is wrong for sure :(
I've looked at your study and downloaded the games. It seems that the "Date" field is set correctly, but each game also has "UTCDate" and "UTCTime", which ChessBase seems to give priority too.

Not excactly sure what that UTC... is set to, maybe the date/time when the chapter was created.

It surely feels weired to have that in there, especially if ChessBase seems to ignore the correct date (Hiarcs seems to get it right, but not sure what's the correct behavior according to the standard).

One way to fix this is by removing all the UTC... tags in the pgn file with a text editor, but maybe someone from the lichess team can look into that.

Thank you! So the problem appears to be inside my ChessBase 17 progam, which I bought this summer. Unbelievable! :)
UPD.
No! :( Inside my original PGNs which I uploaded to Lichess, there are no "UTCDate" and "UTCTime" things. So, I still have to find at which stage and why this stuff emerges. (Or at least whether my ChessBase program is able to ignore it).
UPD2.
Apparently, the PGN tag "EventDate" disappears after uploading the ChessBase-generated PGN to Lichess study and downloading it back. While the PGN tag "Date" still remains, as you pointed.
The problem with ChessBase seems to be that on import it overwrites the "Date" tag with the "UTCDate" tag (which is added on Lichess when the study chapter is created) because it comes later in the PGN.
