random opening games

I wish there was an option where you could search for a game and instead of it starting at the initial position it would start in the midst of a random legitimate opening position, equal for both sides.

you could always try chess 960.. equal but random

There are tournaments like that.
They are called thematic tournaments; and they go on every couple of hours, with different openings already placed.
Here is one going on now featuring the scotch opening:
