Oh! So it does not exist for game position right now. It's very often used in game analysis. They should have made it for this first. Yet another issue with new feature.

There are some really good features and I fully appreciate them. Then why go with features that don't match with others in terms of how users are able to use them efficiently. Hence, I don't accept anything like that unless as dboing said that the feature is currently tested to check how users review it.

given what @schlawg said better than me, we should be glad to be included in the process. That is a 2 way street i think.
I reluctantly am swallowing some apparent dominating userbase cohort overweight need for space in the lobby which resulted in the some neutral vision window of the forum as a whole disappearance, i guess my choice of word indicates, digestion being slow, because somehow I trust lichess long term abilities and global feature maintenance and improvements..

Some changes need probing, be it for load testing, or user base handling of it, putting too many changes at the same time might be an worse nightmare (it seems to be for you now), where we (they) could not differentiate cause and effect toward making the ensemble work. (rings a bell about chess theory for me, btw, off topic, but that's how things pop up, and my fingers have their momentum... journalling that...).

Glad you can keep summarizing the state of this new feature unwrapping. We just need a thread to get wake posts before 4 weeks have past before archiving. I would give this a week perhaps, a wild guess about how such issues might get solved.

If other new aspect did come to mind, i think posts mentioning it would be welcome too. pros too, by the way. even from devs who would like this change to be received eventually (french or english meaning) favorably overall and in voiced feedback.

I have not heard yet, about the intent or goal of this change. I could guess some, I am not sure that my perceived figurine notation disparition improvement was the goal.
