Pleeeeeeeeeease Lichess! Notification nightmares.

It just seems difficult to determine what's interesting and what's irrelevant, because I for instance am interested in every kind of timeline activity that I know, but also the flooding problem here and there, as described here.

Perhaps stop giving always 100% of the current content, but the more remarkable 20%, in times that the timeline has lined down too long. Especially when a single friend's stuff are flooding.

We could just visit profile if we are so interested in that one friend case.
It is such a small thing in terms of how much of the screen it takes up. How is it bugging you that much? I hardly even notice it. I really like how lichess has done this kind of thing cant see any reason for changing it.
@Numberman768 I think you might have misunderstood what we are saying here. We don't have anything against the timeline , we like it. That's why we want it to be filled with useful information, not spam.
Personally I love the timeline, but it's because exactly as you said it's a very small space, so we shouldn't waste this space.
I hope this clarified the matter for you and so now if you have any further comments or questions please feel free to add them.
@Spartako
That sounds like a pretty reasonable suggestion. Still I'd prefer not to have friends activity in my timeline at all, but what you suggest would be a lot better than the status quo.
i feel you, i had to unfollow some people.
the xxx started following xxx is really getting annoying.
They mean the activity "player_x started following player_y" is really annoying.

Personally I don't find it annoying. Only when you have a friend that goes mad following others, which shouldn't be bad, just shouldn't appear to us every time.
the irony...
i agree with everything here but only found this thread because of a notification that person x posted here
What's the matter Lichess?
As you can see no one disagrees with this concern. I've made posts about this in the past and everyone has agreed then also. Are you even there? Are you even listening?
