I was sick, and the next day I was informed that a big fight happened and the ENTIRE SCHOOL knew it.
I had a stomach bug on 9/11/2001.

I was sick at work so stayed home.
Same day there was a bank robberi nearby. The police (fools) for the wrong adress, and went to my workplace. So they thought the guy replacing me was maybe a bank robber and threatened him with a guy. stuff like "HANDS IN THE AIR AND DON'T MOVE" with guns pointed at him.
Then he explained it was the wrong adress, so the police were like "Uhm, sorry about that" and left to find the bank robber.
I cooked a cast iron pan full of chicken wings, baked caprice mushrooms, fried some cornbread fritters, and drank a lot of craft beer while listening to Stevie Wonder.
It was a nightmare.
The electricity cut off...no pipe water suddenly...and your wifi signal missing

The wifi modem didn't work because of rain. A horrible situation while playing chess.
