I am fairly new to lichess but have used many other chess sites previously. When observing a game on these other sites, by default they always place white at the bottom as is the standard for chess books, magazines, videos, etc. However, I have noticed that when observing games on lichess the board is initially shown with black at the bottom roughly half the time because the higher-rated player is usually at the bottom regardless of colour.
Would it be possible to add an option to our preferences so that we may choose to have observed games always displayed with white at the bottom, as is the standard almost everywhere else, rather than having the higher-rated player at the bottom?
