How Russia learned to deny reality

In light of the invasion of Ukraine, the events of Bucha and the fact that a big majority of Russians seem to support Putin anyway I always wondered why that is. This interesting interview with Russian sociologist Grigoriy Yudin sheds some light on this whole mess:

Still don't know if I can agree with all his premises but he certainly offers some (frightening) food for thought.

Thank you. Even before the war I always wondered why Putin seemed to have a very popular support. I think this article is very illuminating: he actually doesn't, people just don't care about politics.

If your choice of present tense in that sentence was deliberate and you are claiming that WW3 is already happening now then no, I don't accept that.

Katzenschinken is right. There is no WW3. Just an incredibly unfair and brutal war going on

this article lacks any self awareness. they are basically saying "wow the russian people are so brainwashed by russian propaganda that they are not affected by nato/ukraine propaganda"
