Logic of the game abandoning warning

The warning for abandoning the game is posted in the game chat. But, since the offending player has already left... They never get to see it. Perhaps it would be better to use the notification system for the warning?

Why not target directly the player's house with a missile GPS-guided?

The point is that the other players knows that actions are taken against that behaviour, so they don't need to complain about it in the forum.

shut down this forum effective immediately @thibault nothing good comes of it and takes up precious moderator time.

People still complain nonetheless. Instead of waiting until the player abandons the game several times and gets the warning ban, you could issue the warning via a notification directly when they do it the first time. Assuming that at least some players change their behaviour as a result of a warning/ban, this would reduce the number of abandoned games.

The missile thing seems more effective to me.

#5 Right, but the main purpose is to let the opponent know that the offender likely will be banned.

#7 So? An additional purpose could be added.

I agree with OP.
First time notification may lower the number of abandoned games, so why not?
