About me

Hi guys, my name is Vladimir Jacko, but you can call me Vlad like everybody else. I am a FIDE master from Slovakia (currently living in Prague) with a live rating 2395 FIDE. I have obtained two IM norms so far. I am a very creative person, and I utilize my creativity in playing and coaching chess. You can reach me over here or at vjacko64@gmail.com. I am available on WhatsApp/Telegram as well 00 421 944 501 799.

Playing experience

I played at the Europe Youth Chess Championship U16 in 2009, European youth team championship U18 in 2009,2010 and at the World Youth Chess Championship in 2012. I have played so many international tournaments and of course, I have been playing leagues and extraleagues in Germany, Austria, Czechia and Slovakia.

Teaching experience

During my journey to become a Fide Master, I was also coaching a few young talented people from my country. I organized Saturday's sessions where I taught people how to improve in all kinds of chess areas. I was also a chess teacher at 3 elementary schools. My best student has reached a rating 2179 FIDE recently. I started working with him by the time he was around 1700 FIDE. It is amazing to see the progress he has made so far.

Teaching methodology

What to expect

I help chess players from different age groups and chess levels maximize their results by using successful verified methodology tested on hundreds of people and also my personal approach based on my expertise. And it works!

Step by step ...

1. Analyze your games

First of all, I will go through your recent games and I will find your strengths and weaknesses. That's the most important thing of all. Of course, I have to listen to you as well. I want to know what has been bothering you and what you have been struggling with. I want to know about your goals or what you want to achieve in chess.

2. Set up a plan

Based on my analysis and our conversation about your chess future, I will set up a plan adjusted to your needs.

3. Expand your chess awareness continuously

During our lessons, I will not be only focusing on improving your strengths and trying to eliminate your weaknesses. but I will also be continuously expanding your chess awareness. It is pretty important to become a complex player from a long-term perspective. I can guarantee that during your future games you will remember some of the rules I explained to you.
