With over 20 years of competitive play and 15 years of professional coaching, I have dedicated my life to helping students unlock their full chess potential. As a Woman International Master based in New York City, I’ve had the privilege of competing on the world stage, representing the United States at the Women’s World Team Championship and the memorable USA vs. China match, while also guiding thousands of students from their very first moves to championship victories.

My passion for teaching led me to publish the best-selling chess book for kids, Winning Chess Exercises for Kids
(Penguin Random House), a title that has reached young minds across the globe and is now available at Amazon, Target, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Powell’s, and more.

Over the past decade, I’ve taught in schools, private lessons, international camps, and academies — from Chicago to Shanghai to New York City — inspiring students of all ages and backgrounds. My teaching approach blends strategy with creativity, empowering students not just to win games but to think critically, build confidence, and enjoy the lifelong journey of chess. Along the way, my chess career has taken me to eighty countries, giving me the chance to experience diverse cultures and share the universal language of the game worldwide.
