About me

Hi and Welcome!

I'm Alessandro (27 years old), Italian International Master and Chess Teacher, and what I love about chess is that they ALWAYS have something to teach you, even (or maybe mostly!) when you lose :-)

That's one of the key points of my best Chess Training.

PS: For Italian players, you can see the details of my best training in Italian here:

Playing experience

I played many tournaments so far, mostly all around Europe (Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Latvia, Turkey, Montenegro...) and some more all around the world, in particular I've been in Vietnam when I was 18 and in Thailand just a few years ago.

Regarding my best results, I got 4th at the European Youth Chess Championship (U14) and I shared the first place in Hoogeveen 2010, thus getting a GM norm. Others than that, I won many other tournaments in Italy and performed over 2500 in Bulgaria, France and The Netherlands.

Most of all, what I like about the experiences I made is the relationships I created with many other chess players and the opportunity to discovery new worlds, countries and environments.

Teaching experience

I started teaching when I was 17 and I loved it since the first day!

After 10 years of teaching experience, I decided to make a big change and founded the "Dollar Chess Club", which aims at bringing players from their level up to chess masters and above.

Joining the "Dollar Chess Club" is the best thing to do for both amateurs and more skilled players who look for fast improvement.

Other experiences

In 2016 I made a "world tour"... I mean, it was not actually a WORLD tour, but yeah, I got to travel a lot! I've been in Turkey, Spain, France, Denmark, Norway and Thailand and stayed away from home for 9 months.

This tour has totally changed my perspective cause I could see with my own eyes how people of different countries live and work, thus now I'm more aware of how the world is done and works...!

Best skills

I'm a quite aggressive chess player and I can play really well attacking and tactical positions.
Regarding my teaching skills, I noticed that I can understand the main problem of a chess player just watching 1 of his games :-)

Teaching methodology

Regarding the method I use during my training, you will find some more info when my new website will be launched ;-)
