My name is Petar Benkovic, international master from Serbia. I was born on the 8th of May 1980 in Sremska Mitrovica. First move in chess I learnt from my mother Emica at the age of 7. The FIDE title International Master I got in the year 2001, I am also a FIDE Trainer and National chess arbiter, and Founder of the Benko Chess Club. www.benkochess.com

As a junior I won Championships of Vojvodina in the category under 15,16,18 and two times under 20 years old. I became the Champion of SR Yugoslavia U18 and two times U20 years old, and played Junior European and World Championships, Children chess Olympiad, etc. My nice result was 8th place at the World Youth Championship 1998, Oropesa del Mar, Spain.

I won more international open and close tournaments, and played successfully for many clubs in Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Switzerland and Germany.

I have 20 years experience as a coach in individual and group training. Like a trainer I worked in Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey and China. And of course, I have experience with online chess lessons over the skype, zoom, etc.

I have experience organizing tournaments for kids, and I am working as well with the pairing program Swiss Manager. Sometimes I make videos for my YouTube and TikTok Channel, you can follow me:

The best skills in chess are strategy of middlegames, calculations and endgames.

My favorite first move is 1.Nf3

From openings for White I can teach you 1.d4 Systems, English and Reti. I am also fine with 1.e4 systems to teach you, but in these systems I am without my own tournament experience.

As a Black I can teach you Queen's Gambit Declined, Nimzo-Indian defense, Bogo-Indian defense, Catalan, Sicilian, French, Scandinavian defense, ect.

I am giving class over the Skype, VooV or Zoom meeting platform, and it is very important that we can communicate during the class. I use Chess Base program during the training, some homework make in PGN or PDF format for my students.

I offer you also training games with analyze and this is also very good to develop your chess skills.
