I have been a chess coach in the Seattle area since 2000. Prior to that I played poker on the road for ten years. Even earlier than that I finish second in the Tropicana World Cup of Backgammon. I did play chess in college and only returned to our game in 1999.

Since 2000 I won the Washington State Championship twice, the Oregon Open once and my biggest tournament win was the Pacific Coast Championship 2015 clear first with a tournament performance rating of 2605.

I have mostly been teaching elementary school students the last ten years. Many of my students are now National Masters.
Seven schools in the Seattle area employ me as their chess team coach. Honestly, I am new to online coaching. We are under a stay at home order here in Washington State. (I am writing this at the end of March 2020 and the COVID-19 Virus is fierce here in Western Washington.
