About me

Dear students, my name is Slobodan Kuzmanović. I come from Teslić, Republika Srpska. I was born in 1971, so I am 49 years old. I was the champion of Republika Srpska in standard and rapid. I won second place at the Paraćin B Open. I successfully run the chess club "Mladost" from Teslić. My students from the club are multiple champions at the cadet and junior national championships and state ones. They won three medals at the European Championships in rapid and blitz. My highest rating was 2202. As a coach, my main goal is to transfer knowledge to the student. One hour with me, 45 minutes, is 10 euros. A match of 6 games with me costs 15 euros. Payment with me is made in advance before training. I will organize simultaneous ones in which you will have the right to participate.

Playing experience

He played a lot of successful leagues and quite successfully on the territory of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia. I have participated in many Open tournaments both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, where I have achieved notable results. Either I won regular prizes (even first places) or I won special prizes as the best player in certain categories. At the weekend blitz and rally tournaments, I won numerous awards (memorial tournaments, international tournaments, Open tournament, etc ...) Certainly one of the most significant results is winning first place in the standard and rapid championship of the Chess Federation of Republika Srpska.

Teaching experience

I am the head of the chess club "Mladost" Teslić, and I am also the coach of that club. A large number of children went through my chess club, and it should certainly be emphasized that with my club and my students who play for the club, I strengthened my position in the first league of Republika Srpska. At the same time, my students are multiple champions at the cadet and junior championships of the Republika Srpska and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which they gained the right to participate in the European and World Championships. One of the more significant results of my students that I coached was winning three medals at European blitz and rapid championships. My students have won awards in their city as sporting hopes. I had several online lectures with students who after that achieved great results both in the game and in the rating!

Other experiences

Chess has allowed me to travel to different places, both in the cities of the country I come from and outside it. By coming to different places, I had the opportunity to experience a lot of different things: the ambience of the space, the prizes in the tournament, the players participating in the tournament, and the place where I played. These are the reasons why I like to play tournaments, because every tournament brings me something new. Chess in itself is beautiful as a game and as a sport. The following information speaks about the beauty of chess and the surprises that happen in chess - there are different possibilities in the first ten moves in the trillions. Chess is a struggle of minds, and concentration is one of the key factors. As a chess coach, I have a lot of experience working with students and I know what they need to progress!

Best skills

In chess, when I play a game, the most common victories I achieved were thanks to combination motives, tactics and better knowledge in endgames. As a coach I have a huge experience. Now, I can't specify one area in particular, as a coach, in which I am good, since I have been working with students for more than 15 years, so one huge coaching experience is behind me. I can easily recognize the flaws in the student, the mistakes he makes, the good sides, the breakdown of his analyzes that I have written down, I can clarify some things.

Teaching methodology

I start working on chess endgames with a beginner so that he can understand the basic principles in chess. I own the original Chess Base 13 chess program with its bases. I also own some videos from Andrew Martin and Elisabeth Pahtz that I send to students to study and I own about 500 books in PDF format. I have Skype, I get in touch with students through it and share a screen from where they can follow what I teach them from the lessons. I have everything ready in advance from start to finish, because as I have already stated, I am a coach with a lot of experience.
