About me

My name is Secheres Adrian-Simion and I am a 26 years old FIDE Master from Romania.

Playing experience

I have been playing chess since I was 7. During this time, I managed to be constantly on the podium of the national junior championships. My biggest achievement in terms of tournament results was the 2nd place (blitz) at the World School Championship in Thailand 2015.
Current rating: 2375
Peak rating: 2415

Teaching experience

My teaching journey started when I was 17. Throughout the time, I mostly had private lessons, but I also got experience in teaching groups of 10-20 U8 and U10 kids.
The level of my students is between beginner to 2300, but I also worked for GMs, helping them with analysis.

Other experiences

I got a bachelor degree from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, a master degree in Managament of Sports Organizations and a bachelor degree from the Department of Teacher Training.
I am a sports enthusiast and I like to help or inspire people to become more active.

Best skills

As a chess player, I rather enjoy squeezing my opponent in a strategic battle than winning due to a mating attack. I have good understanding of positional play, a wide repertoire (from sharp lines to more solid ones), good knowledge of endgames and good tactics skills.

Teaching methodology

I analyse my student's games in order to find their strengths, weaknesses, style of play. I will work on all parts of the game, trying to fill all the knowledge gaps and improve their understanding.
I am able to adapt on the level, needs and goals of my students.
I keep in touch with my students all the time and I send them materials for individual study.
