Hello everybody! I am Jadranko Plenca,22 years old IM from Rijeka(Croatia). It will be my pleasure to share my knowledge with you. Feel free to contact me at jadrogm@gmail.com
Playing experience
I’ve been playing chess since I was 8 years old. Throughout my career I won a lot of tournaments and I also have one GM norm.
My biggest achievement is becoming the European vice-champion(standard) in Mamaia in 2017 where I managed to beat many strong players including Martirosyan Haik in last round.
My other notable achievements are the following:
multiple titles of Croatian champion in both cadet and junior categories
Bronze medal on European Junior Team Championship in 2017(Rymanow Zdroj)
European rapid champion,Novi Sad (2016)
Gold medal on 2017 Mitropa Cup
I also won one of first places on many open tournaments including Villach Open 2018, 3rd place on Vasja Pirc memorial, 2018 Zagreb Open.

Teaching experience
I have most experience in opening and game preparation and I have helped some strong players in that aspect of the game. Also,I have experience teaching and coaching children in local chess clubs. Some of them are among the best players in their own category and are winners of one of the first three places in Croatian chess championships.
Best skills
My main strength in chess are openings, analytical aspect as well as tactics and dynamical play.
Teaching methodology
Each lesson lasts for 60min and I prepare individually for each student. We mainly work on opening theory where I will give you guidelines and explain most important ideas. I will do my best to improve your strategical understanding and endgame play by analyzing the games where I will explain the key ideas. I will also focus on analyzing your games so that we limit the number of mistakes you make.
