As a Coach:

I don't follow conventional methods that revolve around me asking you to memorize a lot of stuff in order to get better, and prompt you to read different books. My approach instead is much more conversation driven. I'm a great listener, and a very effective communicator. I can definitely help you get better in a short period of time if your rating is below 2000, by helping you adapt a better process of thinking & calculating through positions.  I work well with both, kids & adults and enjoy the time and process spent in identifying what works best for you.

I do set rating targets as well as specific goals & milestones for each student and track their progress throughout their learning cycle. I can also assign chesskid.com Gold Memberships.

Coaching Method:

Using either Skype or Zoom and the chess.com analysis board, we will study positions that are tailored towards your study requirement, analyze your played games periodically, and begin our curriculum after your learning level is determined in our first session.

- The difference between positional vs aggressive openings 
- An in-depth analysis of an opening of your choice
- Improving your ability to calculate tactics by following a process
- Analyze your games along with you in order to identify your flaws

Training games:
In our very first session, I will usually play a game with you as white & black to understand your specific strengths and weaknesses. This will also allow me to plan the rest of our session better and create an appropriate study plan for you. There on, we will play regular training games from time to time after every 3-4 sessions to reinforce the concepts being taught in your study routine.

I'm very good with my communication and I like to maintain a healthy relationship with each student. I specialize in teaching openings and middlegame positional/tactical motifs.
