My first attempt
I have asked GM Pap-g to host the next Giveaway.
All I do is Give out the Patron Wings.
15 wings at £4 each = £60 each month. This is nothing when you think at what Lichess has done for people over this lockdown.

When I was 12 years Old I had a chance of trying to become a GM. It was a big thing, a 12-year-old boy wins against a touring GM in a Simul. IST Interschool match I win against the 14-year-Old junior GB champ. My parents were interviewed over this, I only found out recently because of Lichess and me getting back into chess. My mother says that my father thought there would be little money made from becoming a GM.Also, they would have to pay out some money at the start until I got a sponsor. I was redirected towards the world of science, and introduced to a Radio Ham. (Who it turned out was involved on the death of a young boy years before, who fell to his death from the roof of a cotton mill in Leigh Lancashire, 20 to 25 stories high, he was a paedophile he started to groom me, I was intelligent and wise enough to go to my father, who had always said that some people are just wrong in the head I informed him and my association with this person stopped. I became involved as a youngster with others of my age in building Pirate radio stations, from 2nd world war equipment. My uncle, a scrap metal dealer and would let me and my friends go through lorry loads of electronics, that were still useful to us. We made quite a bit of money. In my 14th birthday, I won first place in a yearly school project, by building a two channel Oscilloscope.
So After a near death, at the hands of a paedophile, I am still around to play chess again. Also, the gift of opening my eyes to understand how the universe works. The wondrous journey into the unknown to open my eyes to science. Now Mankind has risen to greater heights. My small attempt in building an Oscilloscope to test the bits of electronics we built.
Now we can point these instruments to the stars, and beyond to the formation of the first stars that first put light back into a dark universe.
We have a Map that has been worked upon for a decades by people and instruments that have been made and sent into space. Shows a picture of the first high intensity gamma rays that have travelled from a time 350,000 years through expanding space to reach us now.
The age of darkness from that first Blast of High Intensity waves of energy to the light of the first stars is now just a few months away.
The James Web Telescope is set up to look at these first solar systems, how they came about, and to show us the way to use the computers and A.I.'s we have built to model the entire universe from when it started with a big. Well they say bang, is it, a bang. The terminology stuck, and we are stuck with the big bang.
I have been privileged to witness all this, from soldering components onto a 807 valve, to tuning an areal holding up florescent tubes to find the nodes of electromagnetic field.
I may have missed out on the quest to become a GM, but I have had this view that very few will ever get to understand how parts of the universe have been reviled and placed together, so we can all witness this miracle of existence.
Death has passed its wings over me many times, yet I have survived. I have witnessed and mostly understood what has been reviled. Now I can use the P.C or mobile phone to look up and listen, or watch a video. An audiobook.to increase my understanding of something that I wish to know, to fit another piece into the jigsaw of this wondrous universe.
The quest will go on, yet more discoveries will take place. I will be first inline to get my brain digitized. To have nanowires threaded through my brain to capture every nerve impulse, For the time this body wears out after 1000 years of rejuvenated health. Or Bio-fitted to go to Titan, or Ganymede.
If my Dream ever reaches the thoughts I had at 14 looking at the stars, knowing then they were broiling balls of plasma.(not too bad at that age) that one day I would go out there and visit them.
