Best way to deal with people who dont play the move upon loosing?

Imagine, you are upto against a person of your level and they sits ideally not doing any move intentially. All of us hate that and there is no way to stop it. what I do is return the favour and divide time of checking it into intervals and check their move upon every intervals and do something else. stupid isnt it I dont even know why I am writing it
