One day , my brother said to play chess, "chess" most probably was a new word to me at that time!
Of course , I requested my father a chessboard and he brought it. Playing it was fun! In starting , I keep asking my brother that what does this piece move , how does it move , everytime! Later , in my school , I had chess activity in which I took part in , feel what? Mine first game I played there was finished up in just 4 moves..... You would know that simple checkmate one...... Playing slowly and gradually there didn't improved my chess so far but just help me recognise the game.... I had Inter House tournament , Inter Branch tournament ( which I eagerly wanted to participate from class 3rd but wasn't able to do so) . During the pandemic , all those school tournaments were just vanished it up when I came up from a message from school about official tournament held here , i.e. Lichess. Downloading the app , playing quick pairing and a bunch of puzzles ( the things which I was familiar with ) and didn't knew the rest features.....I started of with appr. 800 in bullet , 850 in blitz , etc. Slowly and gradually , I got a bit addicted here and loved the animation and the structure of this site which was so easy and smooth. Too , by playing games , I got to understand somewhat a little bit of few openings and went on to play. "Practice makes you improve". That was all I was doing . Keeping on playing , playing and playing made me reach 1300 and I felt a bit glad about it. Through FAQ's , I was introduced to this website and became familiar of the simuls , forums , streamers , chat , and the rest too...... Too gained many friends , watching, learning made me reach 1500 .After a while , I got to know about variants and enjoyed them a lot!( Especially Antichess!) . 4-5 months ago , I myself ( from starting too I wasn't coached at all) got to 1800 in bullet , 1600 in blitz , rapid!
