My Experience with playing Racing Kings!

Chess variantChessOff topic
Hey, this was my personal experience and I will be discussing the journey of my rk experience.

Hey, My name is Meet Raval and I am 16 years old. I really love to play lots of chess. I started playing on lichess on approximately September 2020. It was a great experience! In around October of that same year I started playing RK. I was about 1400 rated and I didn ́t know any theory. Some of my first games included:

.
I thought it was a very interesting variant and I got instantly attached! Thx to @royalmaniac for teaching me basic skills about RK and also doing educational learning streams. Those really helped. Thank you very much. So back to my beginning: I started just playing games, not learning theory or anything. Just playing games. They were about 2+0, or 3+0. I got some good experience and soon reached 1700 in no time. It helped a LOT in my case. Soon after that, I started studying some opening theories. But if you look at me play right now, I still don ́t know much theory but I am still 2100. It's honestly fine if you don ́t understand the theory but it is important to have a good play in the middle game and endgame. If you have good play there then it is possible for your opponent to blunder easily. Soon I hit 2000! This was the game that I hit 2000 in! I was very excited!

I played lots of 0+1 that time when that time control was available. Now I just play 1/2+0 usually. Sometimes even 1+0. The key to getting better is analyzing games, playing games, and most of all: HAVING FUN! You will get better in no time. I am not done learning just yet though. still have a lot more to learn. This was my best win so far and it was against Cyber Shredder:

The highest rating that I have ever reached was 2204 and it was at this game:

I was proud of myself at that time. I will work on getting my rating up by learning more and I hope you do it too! Good Luck!
