Lichess Game of the Month: August 23
The King's Gambit, the aggressive opening which survived the Romantic Era of chess found many supporters over time, even former World Champions Garry Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen played it successfully. If you're afraid as Black of the opening, there might be a chance that you will find a rare and interesting counter which you can apply in your own games by studying this month's Lichess Game of the Month.

Conditions to submit your Game of the Month August: Only standard games (no variants), only submit one game per user (additional games will be ignored), and must have been played September 2023 only! Stay tuned to our forums or any of our socials for the next announcement.
On October 1st, you will be able to submit your games for September in the "General Chess Discussion" forums or via our socials.
