Definition to Interplanetary Travel:-
Interplanetary Travel refers to travel beyond Earth. In Astronomy, it is also called astronautics. The word 'Inter' means something between two objects for example states, countries etc. So the word 'Interplanetary' means something between two planets or celestial bodies.
Current Modes of Transportation:-
We are in 21st Century. The previous centuries thought that this century will able to fly to distant stars. But, we are able to send a spacecrafts outside the Oort cloud (Voyager 1 and Voyager 2). We have sent thousands of satellites and telescopes in space. Even space stations. Some current transports are:-
Un-crewed spacecrafts
Crewed spacecrafts: Apollo 11, Apollo 17
Satellites:
Space Stations: International Space Station, Tiangong Space Station
Space telescopes: Hubble Space Telescope, James Webb Space Telescope
Rovers: Perseverance Rover, Curiosity Rover
Future's modes of transportation
The world is planning to make more modes of transportation. Either they will make us to distant planets or we will be able to go beyond the moon's atmosphere. Two of the planned modes are listed below.
Warp Drive: It will work on the concept of spacetime.
Hovering Spacecraft: Levitating spacecraft for travelling to distant bodies with near to zero fuel.
