The Best Investment You Can Make...

ChessOver the boardTournamentChess Personalities
And Why It's An Investment In Yourself

Introduction

If your chess rating is over 2000, you've probably asked yourself questions like...

⁣⁣What is the best way to invest my time in improving my chess?

⁣⁣What will give me the best return on investment for my money?

⁣⁣I've always wanted to become a chess master...but is now the right time?⁣⁣

How It Used To Be...

For many years, I'd hear things like 'You spent that money for coaching but what did you get out of it?' or, whenever I spent some money, 'Here we go again, yet another program...'⁣⁣

At the time, I let the doubts of others affect my own certainty...⁣

And it stopped me in taking the key step from learning/understanding to implementation/action - and subsequently, getting results in the real world.⁣ ⁣

How Things Changed

However, when it did all finally 'click' for me, the results came very fast...⁣ ⁣

I now have 4 students in my program '2000+ To Chess Master In 90 Days', with more very likely to join in the coming days. ⁣ ⁣

I've had the best month of my life financially thus far (and it's not over yet!)⁣

I'm greatly enjoying my 'work' in helping 2000+ rated players get to master - more than anything else I've tried in helping others improve their chess.

And I get to make an actual difference with all these 'latent' skills that were just waiting for me to put them together in the right way. ⁣

But What Does This Have To Do With Chess?

As I mentioned in my Facebook post on 'How Much I Spent Becoming A Grandmaster', my family spent around $100K to get me to the master level, and then I spent close to another $100K myself to go from master to the GM Title.⁣ ⁣

Part of my mission is to help you get to the same result at a substantially lower cost than I did, by not repeating the mistakes I made through trial and error. ⁣ ⁣

By following a proven, simple process to improve your chess, win tournaments, play on equal terms with 2200+/2300+ players, and ultimately, become a chess master.⁣

When you work with me, you're not just paying for my system - you're paying for the results you'll get by following this system, and the speed at which you will get those results. ⁣

The Price Of Not Changing

I know you're sick of wasting time on trying different improvement methods, not knowing whether they're going to help much or at all.⁣

I get that you hate wasting money on something that isn't getting you results. ⁣ ⁣

And I get that you have some lingering doubts...that you hear the voices of the many naysayers you hear saying 'It's too late, you can't become a chess master'. ⁣ ⁣

You don't need to waste another minute going through that pain. ⁣ ⁣

Trust me, I've been there.⁣ ⁣

I know how frustrating it is, and how discouraging it feels to keep spinning your wheels, and feeling like you're putting everything in on your end, and not getting anything tangible in return.⁣

The Chess Master Title May Be Closer Than You Realize...

And I want you to know that, if you are rated 2000+, there are probably some elements of your game that are already at that chess master (2200+) level...

⁣⁣But there's also at least a couple of things that are holding you back...

⁣⁣I believe that, just by fixing those 1-2 most important things (as my program diagnoses and resolves for your situation), you will be able to play consistently at a 2200+ level.⁣⁣

Once you are doing that, the master title will be a natural progression for you.⁣⁣

So, is now the right time for you to let go of your reasons why you can't make it to chess master?⁣⁣

Is now the right time to quiet the naysayers and tick the master title off your 'bucket list'?⁣

Three Defining Moments Of My Life

Let me share three of my most profound experiences pertaining to this question of 'timing'.⁣⁣

In 2007, I stopped playing junior tournaments and the King's Indian Defence as Black, even though my coaches and friends told me not to.⁣⁣

I gained 100 FIDE and 200 National rating points in the 6 months after that.⁣⁣

In 2012, I discontinued university to become a chess professional, even though most of the Australian chess community told me at the time that I couldn't become a Grandmaster and coach at the same time.⁣⁣

I proved them wrong, getting to the GM title while running a chess coaching business (and even doing some writing on the side!)

⁣⁣In late 2018, I booked a flight to Vietnam to meet my new girlfriend, even though my parents told me to settle and find a woman that lived within 30 minutes of me.

⁣⁣I married her in late 2019, and we're now happily living together with my parents in Sydney. ⁣

Conclusion & Next Steps

The point is - you're not going to regret the shots you take - the investments you make in yourself.

⁣⁣You're going to regret the shots you don't take, the opportunities that you knew in your heart was the right thing, but which you talked yourself out of, until it was too late.

And that's why, 'The best investment you can make, is an investment in YOURSELF'.⁣⁣
