When you hear the word “Chad”, you might think of a person’s name or the country Chad, but do you ever think of a chess opening?
The Chad Opening
In simplicity, the chad opening involves first moving your pawns (one square each) in the order: C1, H1, A1, D1. This may sound a bit like a meme at first but is quite a strong opening for players, such as me, who are (were) stuck on a rating of around 1000 - 1070.
