About me

Hello everyone! I am Aleksandra Dimitrijevic, a Woman Grandmaster, FIDE Trainer and International Arbiter. I am working as a Data Analyst.

I am 37 years old and have been stuck in the chess world all my life, except that I enjoy travelling worldwide.

Except for chess coaching and playing or arbitrating in tournaments, I used to work in chess administration and tournament organisation from time to time.

Playing experience

I became a member of the Chess Club in May 1991.

I am a woman grandmaster, with the highest officially published FIDE Standard Rating of 2383 and a live rating of around 2435.

I played in 4 Chess Olympiads for the Women's National Team - twice 1st and twice 2nd board.

I hold several European medals in Youth and Junior events - Team, Rapid and Blitz - for example, Winner of the European Rapid Super Cup U18.

Teaching experience

I had my first student at age 16 (he is a FIDE Master).

I was a coach and captain of the Women's team in one Chess Olympiad (2016), coach of the mixed team in Online Olympiad 2021, and coach/captain of the Open team in the Chess Olympiad 2022.

I was the national team's coach and the delegation's chief in a few European and World Youth Championships.

My students are holders of many local, regional, and national medals and continental ones.

Other experiences

"Chess for Youth - Chess in Schools" 2012-2015, Leader of the pilot project

COO "Yes2Chess" 2018

General Secretary of Association of Chess Professionals 2019 - 2022

Best skills

- endgames
- chess strategy
- chess tactics
- way of thinking in chess

Teaching methodology

I prefer to get/see student games (classic, rapid or blitz) to understand the level of play and patterns students use. In the case of individual lessons, the program is different for each student and depends: - on what the student wants to learn; - what are student parts of the game have to be improved.

If you have any questions or are interested in the chess lesson, don't hesitate to contact me here or by email: Lexychess@gmail.com.
