How will the tournament work?

Also join the Tournament Team on Lichess AFTER you have PAID for this tournament.

Once you have joined the Lichess Tournament team you will receive the link to your Section WhatsApp Group.

Pairings will be published on Chess- Results.com

The arbiters reserved the right to repair players in the first round due to no-show of opponents. Playing time will be adjusted accordingly as advised by the arbiter.

All FIDE rules apply.

All accepted players must be logged in no later 10 minutes before the round starts.

Players must not get assistance of any sort – we expect fair play and honesty from all players and to use their own ability.

Cheating is monitored by Lichess.org.

Fide sanctions for cheating or breaching the “Fair Play Policy” are:

a. A ban of 15 years taking part in a chess competition or in any chess-related activity and

b. Revocation of titles and sport results. These sanctions could be enforced by Chess SA and we will report any suspicious behaviour. PLAY FAIR.
