Charlottesville Chess Club

26 members

The Charlottesville Chess Club has been around for at least the last thirty five years. It first met at the Thomas Jefferson Universalist Church, then at Airport Tire, and at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church for over thirty years now.

Our members have included State Champions, University professors, every day people, etc. The late Ruth Donnelly represented the United States in the Womans Interzonal and another member drew Bobby Fischer in Richmond during Fischer's 1964 national simultaneous tour. More to follow.
